Medical Advanced Pain Specialists (MAPS) is pleased to announce that both a new physician and a new location have been added to our growing practice. Dr. Nima Adimi, who is board certified in anesthesiology and fellowship trained in pain medicine, recently began providing care at MAPS’ new Stillwater clinic, located at 1950 Curve Crest Blvd. W.
“MAPS is very pleased to welcome Dr. Adimi,” said Kenneth Palattao, regional vice president of MAPS. His entry into the Stillwater market “provides us with an important presence in the East Metropolitan portion of the Twin Cities.”
Before joining MAPS, Dr. Adimi graduated magna cum laude from Georgetown University with a master’s degree in physiology, complementary and alternative medicine. He then completed his medical degree, in addition to an internal medicine internship and an anesthesiology residency, at George Washington University in Washington, D.C., followed by a pain medicine fellowship at Harvard’s Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston.
For Dr. Adimi, this is an opportunity to help change the way pain is approached. “Pain is, to me, the biggest healthcare problem facing our society,” he said. “I feel that interventionally, as well as with medications and alternative approaches, the field has a lot of room for growth.”
